Dr. Ikhlas A. Khan heads up the National Center for Natural Products Research and is a Distinguished Professor at the University of Mississippi.

Dr. Khan’s research is related to medicinal plants, authentication, cultivation, creating repository Isolation of standards; bio-guided fractionation; and the analysis of pesticides/heavy metals in herbal products and dietary supplements. Dr. Khan also focused on the bioanalytical approach to improvement of product quality and safety and the application of analytical methods in metabolism and preclinical studies of chiral drug candidates and the control of plant growth and development by natural products.

Dr. Khan’s BSc (Honors) in chemistry and MSc in organic chemistry are from the Aligarh Muslim University. His PhD in Pharmacy is from the Institute for Pharmaceutical Biology and his DLitt (Honoris Causa) from the University of Hamdard.
